About connectors
  1. Display the connector force load editor using one of the following methods:

  2. In the available F1, F2, and F3 text fields, enter the components of the concentrated force for each available translational component of relative motion (units F). Only components common to all of the selected wires are available in the editor.

If you leave a text field blank, a force of zero is assigned to that component of relative motion automatically. However, you must enter at least one nonzero component in the editor to define the load.

Warning: The connector force will be applied regardless of whether the connector force exceeds the failure criteria for the connector.

  3. If desired, click the arrow to the right of the Amplitude field, and select the amplitude of your choice from the list that appears. Alternatively, you can click to create a new amplitude. (See The Amplitude toolset,” for more information.)

  4. Click OK to save your data and to exit the editor.
