Referenced models that are internal to the model you are working with
(i.e., the original components and the copied components are all part
of the same model) are called submodels. You can use submodels to designate
portions of the model for use in other parts of the model.
Before you can use a submodel, you must create it. You then
add the submodel to the simulation process flow. To do so, you can use
the Reference Component Editor, which allows you
to update parameter values. Alternatively, you can use the model explorer,
which allows Isight
to configure the component automatically.
A change to a component within a submodel is normally reflected in
each of the locations in which the submodel is used. However, you can
also create non-referenced (independent) copies of submodels as described
in Copying Components.
