*SHEAR CENTER

Define the position of the shear center of a beam section.

This option can be used only in conjunction with the BEAM GENERAL SECTION, SECTION=GENERAL or the BEAM GENERAL SECTION, SECTION=MESHED option. It is used to define the position of the shear center of the section with respect to the local (1, 2) axis system.

  1. Local x1-coordinate of shear center, x1⁢s. The default is 0.

  2. Local x2-coordinate of shear center, x2⁢s. The default is 0.
