Deleting edge seeds

Delete edge seeds by selecting SeedDelete Edge Seeds from the main menu bar and then selecting the edges, faces, or cells from which to delete edge seeds.

  1. From the main menu bar, select SeedDelete Edge Seeds.

    Abaqus/CAE displays prompts in the prompt area to guide you through the procedure.

    Tip: You can also delete seeds using the tool, located with the seed tools in the Mesh module toolbox. (For more information, see Using the Mesh module toolbox.)

  2. Select the edges whose edge seeds you want to delete.

    By default, Abaqus/CAE allows you to select from all items to delete edge seeds. To limit object selection to only edges, faces, or cells, use the Selection toolbar to change the type of object that you can select to Edges, Faces, or Cells. For more information, see Filtering your selection based on the type of object.

  3. When you have finished selecting edges, faces, or cells, press mouse button 2 to commit your selections. For more information on selecting objects, see Selecting objects within the viewport.”

    The seeds disappear from all edges of the selected objects.
