Understanding X–Y plotting

An X–Y data object is a two-dimensional array of data that Abaqus/CAE stores in two columns. You can display X–Y data as a graph in an X–Y plot or as a table in an X–Y report. In addition, you can probe an X–Y plot to display the X- and Y-coordinates of graph points. This section discusses X–Y data objects and the various methods you can use to create them. For more information on X–Y reports, see Generating tabular data reports; for information on probing X–Y plots, see Probing the model.
