Opening an Existing Model

You can open existing Isight models from the local disk or from the library (after the model has been published).

  1. Do one of the following:

    • From the Design Gateway File menu, select Open.

      The Open Sim-flow dialog box appears.

      If desired, in the Files of type list, change the file type to Isight Models (*.zmf). By default, All Isight Files (*.zmf, *. zrf) is selected.

    • From the Runtime Gateway File menu, select Open Model.

      The Open Model dialog box appears.

  2. Using the Open From list, determine from where you want to open a model.

    • Select Local Disk to open a model from a local directory.

      1. Navigate to the file, and select it.
        Tip: On Windows operating systems, you can also open a model file by dragging-and-dropping the *.zmf file from Windows Explorer into the gateway.

    • Select Library to open a model from the library. See Using the Isight Library for information about using the library.

      1. Navigate to the model that you want to use. If you cannot locate the correct model, verify that you are connected to the proper library (see Using the Isight Library) or contact the user who published the model for more information.
      2. Select the model.
        Tip: You can also drag-and-drop models from the library into the gateway. However, you must access the library as described in Moving Objects from the Isight Library to the Component Palette.

  3. If desired, click View Details to view additional model information.

  4. For SIMULIA Execution Engine users, click Edit Permissions to view the access permissions for the selected model.

  5. Click Open.

    Isight opens the model.
