Setting Startup Preferences

You can create connection profiles and determine the root component for default models.

  1. From the Design Gateway or Runtime Gateway Edit menu, click Preferences.

  2. Expand Gateway, click Startup, and set the following options, as desired.

    Option Description
Do not prompt for logon in standalone mode Select this option to skip the user name and password prompt if a standalone profile was selected at the last login, regardless of the number of connection profiles found in the Isight installation directory.

Note: If only one connection file (.cpr) is found, Isight will not prompt for a logon.

New Profile Select this option to create a new connection profile for accessing a SIMULIA Execution Engine. For more information on creating a profile, see Creating a SIMULIA Execution Engine Connection Profile.
Create a default model with the given root when the Gateway starts Select this option if you want Isight to create a default model each time you start the Design Gateway. Click Select to set the root component for the default models. By default, the root component is the Task component. This setting does not directly impact the Runtime Gateway.
Load last opened model loaded into the Gateway when it starts Select this option if you want Isight to automatically load the last model you had open in the Design Gateway. If this option is not selected, Isight automatically loads the default model. The default model is an empty Task component.
Start the Gateway with no model loaded Select this option if you do not want Isight to create a model each time you start the Design Gateway.

  3. Click OK to save your changes and to close the Preferences dialog box.
