The ANSYS Workbench component is an application component that creates a direct link to ANSYS Workbench. The component reads an ANSYS Workbench project file and generates a list of input and output parameters. You can modify the values of the input parameters from the ANSYS Workbench Component Editor. During execution, the ANSYS Workbench software executes the simulation with modified values and recalculates the output parameters. The component allows you to perform various types of analyses (such as fluid flow, static structural analysis, etc.) and works with various solvers attached to the workbench (such as Fluent, etc.). The component also allows you to supply custom Python scripts to retrieve and update parameters that are not supported by the component. You can use Isight process components (such as DOE and Optimization) to iterate through the design space and optimize the model. The following figure shows the ANSYS Workbench Component Editor: To start the ANSYS Workbench Component Editor, double-click the ANSYS Workbench component icon . When you have finished configuring the ANSYS Workbench Component Editor, click OK to close the editor. For more information about inserting components and accessing component editors, see Working with Components in the Isight User’s Guide. |
