It provides a single system for a group of users
to access and deploy Isight
simulation process models and share design study results. Models can
be hosted in a version-controlled library and easily accessed through
a Web interface. Complex design study jobs can be run through a powerful
computing framework.
Using the SIMULIA Execution Engine
allows engineering organizations to develop more productive and cost
efficient design processes that deliver more competitive and profitable
products.
The SIMULIA Execution Engine
streamlines these engineering processes by:
-
Seamlessly integrating with your
IT infrastructure through its Enterprise (J2EE) Java Platform architecture.
-
Leveraging your existing hardware
resources into a powerful computing environment to more effectively and
efficiently run complex jobs.
-
Providing a distributed product
development infrastructure that allows organizations to access, execute,
and reuse design tools and processes, including a Web-enabled front end
(the WebTop).
The SIMULIA Execution Engine
WebTop
gives you access to portions of the SIMULIA Execution Engine
from across a network without any additional software installation on
the client computer. The WebTop
supports requests from web browsers, including Internet Explorer and
Firefox.
The WebTop
is a control-flow oriented interface. It allows you to manipulate models
that have already been created in the Isight
Design Gateway
(a design-oriented interface).
The structure of the SIMULIA Execution Engine
WebTop
is illustrated in the following figure:
