Define a Demold Constraint in Tosca ANSA® environment

  1. To define the DEMOLD_CONTROL feature, choose DV_CONSTRAINTS and select New > DEMOLD_CONTROL.

  2. In the DEMOLD_CONTROL dialog, set the options shown in the following figure.

  3. If necessary, define new element groups for the fields EL_GROUP and CHECK_GROUP.

  4. To define a pull direction different from the directions of the global coordinate system axes, a new coordinate system can be defined.

  1. Choose Command > DVCON_TOPO in Tosca Structure.pre.

  2. Set the options for the demold constraint definition as shown in the following figure:

  1. To add a Demold Control to the project, select Topology > Demold Control.

  2. Set all relevant options like direction, mid plane, etc. in the corresponding input box in the Details View window:

    Important: This constraint for the design variables is only active if the definition is referenced in the OPTIMIZE command. This is done using the parameter DVCON = cast_restrictrion in OPTIMIZE command.
