Example Files

This appendix contains the Python scripts that can be used to create complete models for the examples contained in this guide. These files are also included with the Abaqus release; you can extract them from the compressed archive files using the abaqus fetch utility.

  • To fetch a script, enter the following command at the operating system prompt:

    abaqus fetch job=file_name

    where file_name includes the extension .py.

  • To run a script in Abaqus/CAE, do the following:

    1. From the main menu bar, select FileRun Script.

      The Run Script dialog box appears.

    2. Choose the file from the list of available scripts, and click OK.
