Customizing the X–Y plot axis titles

Click the Title tab to customize the titles that appear along the X- and Y-axes of an X–Y plot. You can customize the following:

  • The text that appears as each title.

  • The color of each title.

  • The font of each title.

Using X–Y plot axis options
  1. Locate the axis Title options.

    Select OptionsXY OptionsAxis; or click , which is located with the X–Y plotting tools in the Visualization module toolbox. Click the Title tab in the dialog box that appears.

  2. From the X Axis or Y Axis fields, highlight one or more axes.

  3. To specify title text other than the default for the selected axis, enter the title in the field. You can revert back to the default title by toggling on Use default.

  4. Select the font of the axis title.

    1. Click .

      Abaqus/CAE displays the Select Font dialog box.

    2. Use one of the methods in the Select Font dialog box to select a new font, size, and style. For more information, see Customizing fonts.
    3. Click Apply to see the effect of your font selections.
    4. Click OK to close the Select Font dialog box.

      The X–Y plot title changes to the selected font, size, and style.

  5. Select the color of the axis title.

    1. Click the color sample .

      Abaqus/CAE displays the Select Color dialog box.

    2. Use one of the methods in the Select Color dialog box to select a new color. For more information, see Customizing colors.
    3. Click OK to close the Select Color dialog box.

      The axis title for the selected axis changes to the selected color.

  6. Click Dismiss to close the Axis Options dialog box.
