Changing icon assignments

Select ToolsCustomize to change the icon that is associated with a particular tool or function on a custom toolbar.

Using the Customize toolset
  1. From the main menu bar in any module, select ToolsCustomize.

    The Customize dialog box appears.

  2. Display the Functions tabbed page.

  3. From the Module/Toolset list, select the Abaqus/CAE module or toolset to which your desired function belongs.

    Abaqus/CAE populates the Functions list with the available functions in the selected module or toolset.

  4. From the Functions list, select the function whose icon you want to change.

  5. In the Icon field at the bottom right of the dialog box, click Select.

    The Select Icon dialog box appears.

  6. To use an existing Abaqus/CAE icon, select the icon image from the display on the Abaqus Icons tabbed page and click OK.

    Abaqus/CAE updates the icon for the selected function in all custom toolbars.

  7. To use a custom icon:

    1. Display the User Icons tabbed page.
    2. To remove a custom icon from the selection display on the User Icons tabbed page, select the icon image and click Delete.
    3. If the icon you want to use is in the display, skip to step “e.”

      If the icon you want is not in the display, click Import to import the icon image.

    4. In the Select an Icon dialog box that appears, select an image file to use as an icon. See Configuring icons in custom toolbars, for information on acceptable icon image files. For information on using the Select an Icon dialog box, see Using file selection dialog boxes.
    5. Select the icon image from the display on the User Icons tabbed page, and click OK.

      Abaqus/CAE updates the icon for the selected function in all custom toolbars.

    Note:

    You cannot modify the icons in default Abaqus/CAE toolbars and toolboxes. Nondefault icon assignments apply only to tools in custom toolbars.

  8. Click Dismiss to close the Customize dialog box.
