Creating, modifying, and removing keyboard shortcuts

You can assign keyboard shortcuts to particular functions in Abaqus/CAE. For information on acceptable keystroke combinations, see Configuring keyboard shortcuts.

Using the Customize toolset
  1. From the main menu bar in any module, select ToolsCustomize.

  2. From the Customize dialog box that opens, click the Functions tab.

  3. From the Module/Toolset list, select the Abaqus/CAE module or toolset to which your function belongs.

    Abaqus/CAE populates the Functions list with the available functions in the selected module or toolset.

  4. Select the function for which you want to create, modify, or remove a keyboard shortcut.

  5. Perform one of the following steps:

    To create or modify a keyboard shortcut:

    Enter the function key or key combination that you want to use, then click Assign.

    The new keyboard shortcut appears in the Current shortcut field.

    To remove a keyboard shortcut:

    Click Remove.

    Abaqus/CAE deletes the keyboard shortcut assignment and clears the Current shortcut field.
