Using the connector section editors

After you specify a connection type for a connector section, you can define connector behaviors for connection types that have one or more available components of relative motion. If you change the connection type after you have defined connector behaviors, you will have to delete the connector behaviors and redefine them for the new connection type. This section explains how to enter data related to connector behaviors in the connector section editor.

In this section:

Defining elasticity
Defining damping
Defining friction
Configuring tangential behavior for connector friction
Specifying predefined friction parameters or contact forces
Defining plasticity
Defining damage
Defining damage evolution
Defining a stop
Defining a lock
Defining failure
Defining a reference length
Defining time integration
Specifying behavior settings for tabular data
Specifying connector derived components
Specifying potential terms
