Displaying, hiding, and highlighting free body cuts

You can display or hide free body cuts individually in the current viewport by toggling their Show check boxes in the Free Body Cut Manager, and you can display or hide all of the free body cuts in your session by clicking Set All On or Set All Off. Active free body cuts are displayed in the viewport and are included in free body cut reports; for more information about reporting free body cut data, see Generating tabular data reports.” The manager displays all free body cuts defined in your session and indicates whether each one is currently displayed.

You can highlight one or more free body cuts in the viewport by selecting their shortcuts under the Free Body Cuts container in the Results Tree.

By default, Abaqus/CAE retains no record of which free body cuts were active when you save free body cut definitions to a file for future use. If you want to retain a record of the activation status of free body cuts, toggle on List of active view cuts + free bodies when you save session objects to a file. For more information, see Managing session objects and session options.
