Viewing the results of your optimization process

The results from each design cycle are stored in a separate output database file. To view the results of the optimization, you must combine the separate output database files into a single output database file, as described in Combining optimization results.

To view the results of your optimization process, select OptimizationResultsoptimization process name. You can also view the results by selecting the optimization process name in the Optimization Process Manager and clicking Results. Abaqus/CAE enters the Visualization module and, if you executed a topology optimization, automatically displays a view cut superimposed on the undeformed view. The isosurface variable of the view cut is the normalized material property that the Optimization module uses to add or remove elements from the analysis. If you executed a shape optimization, Abaqus/CAE displays an undeformed view showing the new position of the surface nodes. If you executed a sizing optimization, Abaqus/CAE displays an undeformed view showing the shell thickness. You can view the results of an optimization while it is running.
