Controlling job precision

To locate the job editor, select JobEditjobname from the main menu bar. Use the Precision tabbed page to control the precision of the Abaqus/Explicit analysis or the precision of nodal output for an Abaqus/Standard or Abaqus/Explicit analysis. You can do the following:

  • Select the single, forced single (override environment variable double_precision setting if necessary), or double (analysis only, constraints only, or analysis and packager) setting for Abaqus/Explicit precision. This option is equivalent to the double option in the Abaqus/Explicit execution procedure.

  • Select either single or full nodal output precision. This option is equivalent to the output_precision option in the Abaqus execution procedure.
