Exporting Scatter Plot Graph Data

You can export scatter plot data from the Runtime Gateway to an image file, a text file, or to Microsoft Excel.

  1. From the model explorer on the left side of the Runtime Gateway, select the component you want to examine, and click the Data Analysis tab.

  2. Click the 2D Scatter Plots or 3D Scatter Plots subtab.

Isight displays the scatter plot graphs on the subtab.

  3. Right-click the scatter plot whose data you want to export.

    A menu appears.

  4. Click Export, and select one of the following:

    Option Description
Export to Image Save the scatter plot as a *.jpeg, *.jpg, or *.png file.
Export to Text File Save the scatter plot data as a text file.
Export to Excel Export the scatter plot to an Excel worksheet and display it. From this point, you can manipulate the scatter plot, as desired, using Excel. However, there are the following limitations with regard to exporting scatter plot data to Excel:
    • Excel has a 64 kilobyte row limit, which may impact your ability to export a scatter plot.
    • Excel does not support 3D scatter plot graphs. If you export data for a 3D scatter plot, the data points are exported, but no graph is created.
Export Selected to Text File Save the currently selected points to a text file.

  5. Navigate to the directory where you want to store the file, type a file name and extension in the File Name text box, and click Save.

Isight saves the file. Depending on the file type, you can access it with any image viewing software or text editor.
