Importing Parameter Information

You can import parameter information from a specifically formatted text file into the Design Gateway or into the Runtime Gateway. Once you have created the file, you can use the file to import the parameter information into a different model.

Parameter names must match between the name/value file and the parameters on the Parameters tab.

About Importing Parameter Information

  1. From the gateway, select the model for the import.

  2. Select the component that will receive the imported parameters, and click the Parameters tab.

  3. Determine how you want to import parameters:

    • Specific set of parameters

      1. Select the parameters on the Parameters tab.
      2. Click the button next to Import, and select Into selected parameters.

    • All matching parameters

      Click the button next to Import, and select Into all parameters.

  4. Select the file that contains the parameter information that you want to import, and click Open.

    Isight imports the parameter information and the information appears on the Parameters tab. If the information is not imported correctly, compare the parameter name on the Parameters tab with the name in the name/value file to verify that they match.

  5. Save the model, if desired.
