Specifying Execution Conditions

You can choose to always execute, to never execute, or to conditionally execute a segment of the simulation process flow.

  1. From the Design Gateway, select the model that you want to configure.

  2. Right-click the simulation process flow arrow connecting two components for which you want to set conditions.

  3. Select Edit Condition.

The Sim-flow Conditions dialog box appears.

  4. Select one of the following:

    Option Description
Always execute Select this option to always execute this segment of the simulation process flow. By default, this option is selected.
Conditionally execute Select this option to specify conditions upon which to execute this segment of the simulation process flow. For more information, see Defining a Conditional Simulation Process Flow.
Never execute Select this option to stop this segment of the simulation process flow from executing. Other parallel segments of the simulation process flow will continue to execute.

  5. Enter a label for this segment of the simulation process flow in the Label text box.

The label appears below the simulation process flow arrow on the Sim-flow tab.

Note: If you select the Never execute option in Specifying Execution Conditions, the text string Don’t execute is added to the Label text box. You can change this label, if desired.

  6. Click OK to save your changes and to close the Sim-flow Conditions dialog box.
