Design Gateway Toolbar Buttons

This section provides a reference to the options available from the Design Gateway toolbar.

Button Action


Creates a new model, but allows you to select the root component from a list.


Allows you to open a model from the computer’s hard disk.


Saves the current model with the same file name.


Opens the Generate Report dialog box, which allows you to provide details for creating a report on the model. The report will not include run results (see Creating a Report Prior to Model Execution).


Allows you to publish a component or model to the library (see Using the Isight Library).


Allows you to print model information.


Removes the selected component from the simulation process flow, placing it in memory, and allows you to paste it in another location.


Places a copy of the selected component from the simulation process flow in memory and allows you to paste it in another location.


Takes a cut or copied component from memory and places it in the simulation process flow.


This button, which toggles between an on (depressed) and off (raised) state, displays or hides the component palette on the Sim-flow tab, which is the area that holds the component icons and stores the Process components, Application components, and <New> tabs.


Opens the library (see Accessing the Isight Library).


Launches the Runtime Gateway.


Runs the model based on the current connection mode (Isight standalone or SIMULIA Execution Engine). Clicking the down arrow to the right of the button accesses additional execution options.
