Visualizing Approximations

You can manually interact with an initialized approximation model and observe, graphically, how changing the input values affects the output values and the shape of the output function. You can also manually and automatically explore the design space using the approximation.

You can use the Graphs tab on the Approximation Viewer in the Design Gateway or the Visualization subtab on the Visual Design tab in the Runtime Gateway to view the effects of changing the input values, work with graphs, add and remove graphs, export graph data, set graph options and approximation preferences, and explore the design space. You can also use the Design Search tab on the Approximation Viewer in the Design Gateway or the Visualization subtab on the Design Search tab in the Runtime Gateway to work with graphs and to explore the design space based on the design variables, constraints, and objectives that you select.

Note: The approximation must be initialized before you can view the values and explore the design space (see Initializing Approximations and Viewing the Data).
