Parameter Study Technique

The Parameter Study technique studies each factor at all specified levels while all other factors are held fixed at their baseline.

Although a Parameter Study can be used to refer to any study of design parameters, in Isight the term “Parameter Study” is used to refer to a true study of the sensitivity of the design to each factor independent of all other factors. Each factor is studied at all of its specified levels (values) while all other factors are held fixed at their baseline. A baseline point is also analyzed for reference, resulting in 1+n1+n2+n3++ni (i=# factors, ni=# levels for factor i) design point evaluations. Although this does not provide any interaction information, it does allow you to study many factors at many levels with relatively few design point evaluations. If interactions are insignificant, the results are a good indicator of the effects of the individual factors.
