Parameters Table

The Parameters table shows the parameter names, an icon to indicate if the parameter is a read or write action, and the parameter value.

The table contains the following:

  • all the parameters for the Data Exchanger component,

  • all the parameters for the Simcode component for which the Data Exchanger component is included, and

  • all the parameters from the parent and sibling components that could be mapped to this component. Using a parameter from a parent or sibling component automatically maps it to the Data Exchanger component when you close the editor.

You can click the icon in the Op (operation) column to change the Read or Write instruction for a parameter. You cannot delete the parameter instruction by using the Op column, you must use the right-click menu or click the button in the Parameter Read/Write area.

To edit the parameter details and cut/copy/paste parameters options, right-click a parameter. You can use the buttons below the Parameters table to create new parameters (), add a member to an aggregate parameter (), or delete a parameter ().

The Parameters table is similar to the Design Gateway Parameters tab. However, you cannot select multiple parameters from the Data Exchanger Component Editor. In addition, parameters do not appear on the Parameters tab in the Design Gateway until you click OK or Apply on the Data Exchanger Component Editor.
